She's finally here! After a long wait and a confusing due date she finally decided to come. The labor went really well, infact it couldn't have gone better. We arrived to the hospital at 7:30 p.m. dialated to a 3 and contractions 7 minutes apart. I wouldn't have normally showed up that soon but the contractions were pretty intense and I had a feeling things might go fast. The nurses didn't want to admit me at first but my Dr. insisted that they get admit me immediately. He came and checked me an hour later and I was already at a 5. We walked around, bounced on the ball, and just tried to speed things along. Once the contractions got really strong the nurse wanted to know when I felt any pressure or urges to push. It was probably 2 contractions after she mentioned that that I did. The Dr. hurried over, I was at a 7 and with the next contraction I was at a 10. It took me 3 super hard and intense pushing contractions to get her out. And when she finally did, it was the best feeling ever! This labor was a complete blessing and miracle that it happened the way it did especially after such an emotional wait and confusing last month. I was beginning to have my doubts she'd ever come. But she did we're so happy to have our sweet little Olive.
Eva is handling things so well. She's constantly telling me, "I love my Olive."
My parents came for a few days, which was awesome. It was nice that they came to see our little new addition and Eva loved having them as well.
I hope I posted enough pictures to get an idea of what she looks like. She looks alot like Eva to me with a few differences. She has more hair and her eyes are different. I don't have a ton of pictures taken yet but we're working on it. Eva refuses to take pictures but I'm determined to get some and I'll do my best to post them.
